About MakeAnID.com

MakeAnID.com crops photos to the official sizes of passports, visas, ID cards and licences, in your browser, and makes print sheets you can print at a photo kiosk.

What the studio does

You upload a photo or take one with your camera. The studio finds your face, straightens and sizes it to the document's rules, and can put an accepted background colour behind you. It then measures the result: head height, eye height, framing, tilt, lighting and background.

You can download a single photo at the document's size, or a 4×6-inch, 5×7-inch, A4 or US Letter sheet with several copies and cut marks.

Your photo stays on your device

All image processing runs in your browser. Your photo is not uploaded to a server, and the site has no accounts.

Where the rules come from

Photo sizes and rules come from official publications: ICAO Doc 9303, ISO/IEC 19794-5 and the governments that issue each document. The sources page lists them. Rules change, so check with the issuing authority before you apply.

Independence

MakeAnID.com is not affiliated with any government or passport office. A photo that passes the studio's checks can still be refused by the authority that reviews it.
