Privacy policy

MakeAnID.com is built so that your photos never leave your device. This page explains what data the site does and does not handle.

Your photos

Photos you upload or take with your camera are processed in your browser's memory. Face detection runs on your device with models that your browser downloads from this site. Photos are not uploaded, stored on a server or shared. Closing or reloading the page discards them.

No accounts

The site has no sign-up, login or mailing list, and does not ask for your name, email address or other personal details.

Stored in your browser

The site stores your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage. If advertising is shown, your consent choice is stored there too. This data stays on your device.

Hosting

The site is served through a content delivery network. Like any web server, it processes technical request data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the service.

Advertising

If the site shows ads, they are loaded only after you give consent through the consent dialog, where you can also refuse or change your choice later. The cookie policy has the details.

Contact

Questions about privacy can be sent to the address on the contact page.
